Our Mission

Access to Clean, Safe Hydration Anywhere

Forged in the rugged peaks of the Welsh mountains, AquaHike was born from a thirst for conquering the untamed wilderness of the UK. We believe spending time in nature should be a source of rejuvenation and wonder, not worries about dehydration or contaminants in water sources. As passionate outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we understand the concerns around carrying enough water weight, risking sickness from untreated sources, and relying on single-use plastic bottles that litter our trails.

That's why we created the AquaHike Straw™ - a portable water filter that empowers you to safely hydrate from any freshwater source, no matter how far your adventures take you. Utilising advanced Hollow Fibre Membrane technology, it removes 99.9999% of harmful bacteria, protozoa, and microplastics with incredible efficiency. Suddenly every stream, river, and lake becomes a renewable oasis.

But the AquaHike Straw is more than just a hydration tool. It's an enabler of self-sufficiency that allows you to roam farther, explore longer, and immerse yourself more fully in nature's pristine beauty. Forget heavy water weights restricting your hiking mileage or fearing the next safe refill. Travel lighter and more confident than ever knowing that you have drinking water security for any outdoor pursuit.

Giving Back is Essential

We've always believed in giving back, and there's no better cause than giving life itself. Today, nearly 800 million people lack basic access to clean water. As a result, drinking contaminated water causes more deaths than HIV, AIDS and Malaria combined. Some 829,000 people are estimated to die each year from diarrhoea as a result of unsafe drinking-water, sanitation and hand hygiene.

Donations from water filters sold means we're able to help thousands of extra families access safe water every year. Through the donations from every water filter sold, one family in need is provided with 1400 litres of clean water at handpumps.
